Ulm University of Applied Sciences Visits Dana in Neu-Ulm
27 students and two professors from Ulm University of Applied Sciences visited Dana/REINZ’s production site in Neu-Ulm. As part of an excursion, they gained insights into two of the company's core business areas: the Aftermarket division and cylinder-head gaskets.
The visit was inspired by a master’s thesis. Logistics student Luca Dieckmann completed his thesis, “Analysis and Optimization of Picking Performance in the Aftermarket Operations Department of REINZ-Dichtungs-GmbH,” at Dana. The excursion gave him the opportunity to present his work to his professors on site while also introducing his fellow students to the company and its operations. Following a company presentation, the students were divided into two groups and experienced the processes firsthand in a practical setting. The program was complemented by information about current career opportunities within the company.
The visit exemplifies a mutually beneficial exchange: students gain early exposure to industrial practice, while Dana establishes valuable connections with highly qualified future professionals.
